Physiotherapy treatments include rehabilitation regimes including Graded Exercise, Manual Therapy Techniques, Soft Tissue Release, Dry Needling, Taping and Electrotherapy
Ear Wax Removal
We use microsuction to safely remove the buildup of wax from your ears.
Menopause Clinic
At Total Health West Berkshire we offer an option of different menopause appointments to help you get the advice and treatment that you need.
Menopause consultation only - £120
A 30 minute consultation in which you can discuss your symptoms and concerns and receive advice and treatment options.
A letter with details of this appointment will be sent to your NHS GP with your consent.
If a prescription is recommended then there is an additional charge of £40 per prescription.
Private GP prescriptions can be used at any dispensing pharmacy.
Menopause consultation and blood tests - £268
This is a 2 stage appointment.
The first stage involves a blood test to provide you and Dr Cave with information on your hormone levels and other health areas that can be affected by menopause.
Once we have the results (usually in 2 - 3 days) we can schedule a 30 minute appointment with Dr Cave to discuss the results of your blood test and your symptoms and concerns. We can then decide on the best treatment options for you.
Menopause consultation and blood tests with follow up - £368
This appointment includes blood tests and initial menopause appointment with Dr Cave and a further 30 minute follow up appointment 6 weeks later to assess your progress.
Private GP
At Total Health West Berkshire we now offer face to face appointments with our easy access to private GP services.
These appointments are designed to help you access a GP when you need it and are able to offer advice and treatment for a wide range of conditions.
Please note we cannot offer a service for medical emergencies or out of hours care. If you think you have a medical emergency phone your NHS GP, dial 111 or 999. We do not routinely offer ongoing monitoring of long - term conditions where the NHS may be a more appropriate provider of this chronic disease management service
Phlebotomy
Steroid Injection
This appointment is to see if a steroid injection is the appropriate treatment for your musculoskeletal pain.
If it is decided that a steroid injection then an additional fee of £180 per injection will be charged.
Swift Verruca Treatment
An appointment to see if Swift Verruca treatment is suitable for your verruca.
If you choose to go ahead with the swift treatment then the appointment fee will be waived.
Well Person Check
In this appointment the clinician will use the QRISK3 questionnaire and a blood test to calculate the risk of developing a heart attack or stroke over the next 10 years.
It consists of two appointments.
The first appointment is a blood test - you should allow 10 minutes for this appointment.
The second appointment is an assessment and you will be give the results of your blood test and your risk of developing a heart attack or stroke over the next 10 years will be calculated and discussed with you - you should allow 30 minutes for this appointment.
ECG - Electrocardiogram
An electrocardiogram or ECG is one of the most common heart tests. It looks at and records the electrical activity of your heart and monitors your heart rate and rhythm. The purpose of the test is to discover if there are any problems with the heart’s electrical impulses.
